Karena “Kari” Curtis – Board Member
Earning her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Millersville University, her Master’s degree in Science Education from Towson University, and her Educational Administration Certificate from Goucher College, Karena, “Kari”, Curtis is a 26 year veteran teacher of Baltimore County Public Schools. It is this experience, passion, and drive for helping others that makes her a huge asset to our organization. She has been involved with our mission for many years, since the early days of our food drives in local concession stands. Her networking, leadership skills, and creative ideas will propel us into continued growth for our community.
Outside of her professional life, Kari is actively involved with her community through a variety of organizations. She is an integral part of the Seitzland Junior Rifle Team where she helps to organize and score local, state, and national matches, establishes herself as point of contact for registration with the American Legion, CMP, and team members, as well as orchestrates travel logistics for the team. Kari is a passionate supporter of 4H and The Farmyard, a local agritourism hotspot. She is also a member of Hereford Volunteer Fire Department, Pine Grove UMC/UMW, and a locally ranked trivia team. Her proudest accomplishment, however, is being a full-time mom to her two daughters, Madison and Carlee.
